Chainsaw Man: Devil's Heart hands you a mop, 150 Yen, and a choice that shapes your whole playthrough — which devil you sign with, and whether you stay human, become a fiend, or chase a hybrid's heart. Pick wrong and you will spend weeks undoing it; pick with a plan and the same hours take you much further. This guide is that plan: the fastest route from level 1 to raids, which contracts are worth your Yen, and exactly how hybrids and fiends work. First, claim the free Yen, EXP boosts and resets on our Chainsaw Man: Devil's Heart codes page — they are the cheapest way to fix a bad roll.
▶ Play Chainsaw Man: Devil's Heart on Roblox
Chainsaw Man: Devil's Heart is a Chainsaw Man-inspired action RPG on Roblox. You play a devil hunter: take quests, kill fiends, earn Yen and experience, and spend skill points to grow stronger. Yen buys weapons, devil contracts and the 10,000 Yen surgery that turns you into a hybrid. Experience unlocks skill points, bosses and eventually raids.
The loop stays the same for a long time: accept a quest, defeat the fiends it names, collect Yen and experience, spend the rewards on your skill tree and gear, and take a harder quest. What changes is what you fight with — a starter weapon at first, then devil contracts, then a fiend or hybrid transformation that rewrites your moveset.
Do the janitor's floor-cleaning quest. You spawn next to the janitor: clean 10 stains by holding E on each one, then talk to him again. It pays 150 Yen — exactly the price of your first weapon.
Buy a starter weapon at the shop. The Knife is fast but weak, the Katana is balanced, and the Axe hits hard but swings slowly. All three cost 150 Yen. New players do best with the Katana — forgiving speed and damage while you learn enemy patterns.
Find the scared child and take the Kill 3 Fiends quest. It pays 400 Yen plus experience and is the main quest giver for every level under 50 — repeat it until the fiends feel easy. Farm Imposter and Mantis Shrimp fiends for the best experience per kill.
Spend skill points in Strength or Health Regeneration. Strength makes every quest faster; Health Regeneration keeps you alive to finish one. Do not spread points thin early — one strong stat beats five weak ones.
Save 3,000 Yen for your first contract, then farm bosses. From level 10, the Tomato Devil, Sea Cucumber Devil and Bat Devil drop far more experience and money than regular fiends. At level 20, raids open up and become the fastest way to level.
Humans can hold up to three devil contracts at once. Buy them from the Contract Dealer at Public Safety HQ for 3,000 Yen per random roll, or earn specific ones through devil encounters, raids and quest chains. Every contract costs you something on acceptance — usually a percentage of your blood, damage or damage reduction — so read the price before you sign.
| Contract | What it does | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|
| Future Devil | Dodge for 2 seconds | The best contract in the game. Dodge frames work with any build, in any fight. Accept it whenever it is offered, whatever it costs. |
| Cursed Nail | Heavy attack that takes a large chunk of health | The hardest-hitting contract — but each use costs 20% of your own max health, so do not spam it. |
| Violence Devil | Brutal Barrage: five punches, the last knocking the enemy back | Strong, reliable damage that can be parried and dodged by smart enemies. A solid second contract. |
Blood Devil (Scythe, Hammer or Spear) and Ghost Devil (Punch or Choke) round out the roster — Blood Devil works as a sword replacement but drains your blood bar in about five uses, and Ghost Devil's Punch cannot be parried, only dodged. Do not chase a perfect set of three on day one: one good contract — especially the Future Devil — beats three average ones, and contract resets come free through codes.
Past the early game, every player faces the same fork: stay human with contracts, become a fiend, or become a hybrid. The choice is permanent — once you transform, you cannot go back or switch paths, so decide before you spend anything.
| Path | How to get there | What you gain |
|---|---|---|
| Human | Stay as you are | Up to three devil contracts, full access to weapons and items. The most flexible path, and the only one that keeps contracts. |
| Fiend | Level 50, three contracts from the same devil, find the injured man underground via a manhole near the map centre, pay 10,000 Yen | Your debuffs are removed, plus a small transformation (press T) that improves your moves at the cost of blood. Fiends are Violence, Blood or Shark. |
| Hybrid | A Devil's Heart and 10,000 Yen, then talk to the nurse at the hospital | Press T to transform into a devil-human hybrid with unique abilities. You heal around 40% of your health on transforming and gain blood by dealing damage — but you cannot use contract skills or items while transformed. |
There are eight hybrids — Chainsaw, Katana, Bomb, Flamethrower, Deep Sea, Whip, Shield and Crossbow — and which one you get is random, an equal chance for each. Katana and Chainsaw are generally rated the strongest. A Devil's Heart spawns at a random spot roughly every half hour, with about a 50% chance each time — check playgrounds, garbage bins, building ledges and the hospital roof. The reliable alternative is Ito's quest: kill bosses to collect 10 bullets, then hand them in for a guaranteed heart.
Codes are the fastest early boost in the game: free Yen, double-EXP timers, skill resets, contract resets, fiend and hybrid resets, and aura rerolls. Redeem them before you buy your first contract or spend your first skill points — a reset code is worth far more before a mistake than after one. The full list, checked daily, is on our Chainsaw Man: Devil's Heart codes page. To redeem, press M to open the phone, open the Settings app, type the code in the Insert Code field and press Enter.
1. Always have a quest active. Quest Yen and experience dwarf random fiend kills. The scared child's chain carries you to level 50 — never grind without one running.
2. Take the Future Devil contract whenever it appears. It is the one contract every build wants, and its dodge frames save you in boss fights and raids alike.
3. Spend resets before you spend Yen. Free contract, skill and hybrid resets come from codes. Use them to fix a bad roll instead of paying to work around it.
4. Farm bosses from level 10, raids from level 20. Regular fiends stop being worth your time once bosses unlock — their experience and Yen per minute are far higher.
5. Decide your endgame path early. Want a hybrid? Start hunting Devil's Hearts and saving 10,000 Yen now. Want to be a fiend? Keep your three contracts on the same devil. Drifting costs weeks.
6. Learn to block and dodge before you chase damage. Most early deaths come from standing still and trading hits. A player who blocks, dodges and punishes openings levels faster than a stronger player who dies twice per quest.

The Katana. All three starter weapons cost 150 Yen: the Knife is fast but weak, the Axe hits hard but swings slowly, and the Katana sits in the middle with forgiving speed and damage while you learn the game.
The Future Devil, which lets you dodge for 2 seconds. It works with any build and is worth accepting whatever it costs on signing. After it, Cursed Nail for raw damage and Violence Devil for reliable combos are the next best picks.
You need a Devil's Heart and 10,000 Yen, then talk to the nurse at the hospital. Hearts spawn at random map spots roughly every half hour, or you can earn one from Ito's quest by collecting 10 bullets from bosses. There are eight hybrids and which one you get is random — Katana and Chainsaw are rated the strongest.
