Adopt Me's next dimension is open. The Lightning Dimension update went live on Friday 6 November, and it swaps the Halloween season for a storm-chasing grind: a mysterious hammer has struck the Nursery, a portal has opened nearby, and inside it players catch lightning in a bottle to trade for two brand-new lure baits. Four new pets are up for grabs, including two that sit at a 0.10% drop rate — so the chase for the rarest ones starts the moment you step through the portal.
The loop starts inside the dimension itself. Head through the portal near the Nursery and pick up Forks in a Bottle, then watch for a storm and place the forks on the ground while it rages. If the timing is right, the bolt strikes and you walk away with Lightning in a Bottle — the update's new currency. The bottles are spent at Bore's Cave, where each of the two new baits costs three of them. The old days of free, unlimited bait are over: the patch notes are explicit that players will need to keep collecting bottles to keep fishing, so every lure you run starts with a trip into the storm.
The two baits are the Cyclone Sponge Bait and the Storm Chip Cookie Bait, and both go into the lure in your pet pen for a two-hour wait. Most of the reward table is shared: Bucks in three denominations, Age-Up Potions, four pet-wear pieces, two toys and a set of stickers, with the Thunderfisher pet at a 10% chance and the Electric Hornet at 1.5%. The split is at the very top of the table. The Haetyphoon, a Legendary pet, only comes from the Cyclone Sponge Bait at 0.10%, and the Flash Weasel only from the Storm Chip Cookie Bait at the same 0.10% — so which bait you buy decides which of the two rarest pets you are chasing. The four pets match the four the developers previewed before launch, and a silhouetted lightning fox spotted in the preview video has players guessing at another reveal still to come, though its name and rarity remain unconfirmed.
The portal will not stay where it is. According to the official announcement, it sits on the main map for the first week and then moves to Sky Castle, where it stays open permanently. That permanence matters: unlike a seasonal event that vanishes, the Lightning Dimension looks like a lasting addition to the game. The arrival also closes a chapter — the free Ice Soup Bait route to the Legendary Frostbite Bear, at a 0.01% base chance, was expected to end on 6 November, and the patch notes confirm there are no more free infinite baits. Players who already own Frostbite Bear keep their pets, but anyone still chasing one through the old method is now out of time. The update also ships a round of fixes, including a wrong gold cost on the Future Sight Potion, Polymorph Potions being blocked on the temporary 2D Kitty, and corrected item labels.
Three things are worth doing this weekend. First, step through the portal and stock up on Forks in a Bottle — every bait costs three Lightning Bottles, and the grind only gets longer the more lures you want running. Second, pick your bait with the 0.10% pet in mind: Cyclone Sponge for the Haetyphoon, Storm Chip Cookie for the Flash Weasel, and do not split your bottles between the two unless you are happy chasing both. Third, check the Adopt Me codes page: the game currently has no working public codes, so the Lightning Dimension grind — not a code — is the way to the new pets, and any site claiming a Lightning Dimension code should be treated as unconfirmed.
We will update this story when Uplift Games confirms what follows the Lightning Dimension — and the Adopt Me codes page will be re-checked the moment the next update goes live.
Reported by Sportskeeda (6 November 2026) from the official patch notes — release date, the hammer at the Nursery, Forks in a Bottle, the two new baits and their prices, and the full lure reward table; the 6 November release date, the portal's move to Sky Castle after the first week, the four new pets and the Frostbite Bear last-chance warning cross-checked by RPGaH (3 November 2026) from the official Adopt Me announcement and developer preview.
